Massage
Massage takes place in a warm room on a massage couch so you can lie comfortably. Warm oils are rubbed rhythmically into the skin to ease sore muscles, improve lymphatic drainage and circulation, aiding removal of toxins and cell healing. It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, decreasing heart rate and blood pressure, encouraging deep relaxation, release of the feel good hormone oxytocin and a return to a sense of well being, calm and comfort in the body, mind and spirit.

Touch

Touch is our first language-it communicates at a level that words can't, appealing to our instinctive self. It is the natural way to ease pain, distress, nurture, comfort and reassure.
Womens bodies are constantly changing with their cycle, pregnancy, birth, mothering and menopause. Touch can help to provide an anchor; a place to really feel how you are; a return to your center and an opportunity to drop into connection and comfort in your body mind and spirit

Shiatsu
Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. A session begins with a discussion of medical history, current physical and emotional needs. A treatment involves pressure, holding and stretches of meridians and pressure points. it is performed on a futon on the floor, fully clothed. It can be carried out lying on your back, front or side and so is suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding mums."It feels like a guided tour of my body, I notice where I am holding, achy, sore or tender and I let go. Afterwards I feel more connected to myself; energised yet more ready to take care of myself.'
